ECS 3310 - Introduction to Working with Children with Disabilities and their Families (3) An overview of the role of the teacher when working with young children with disabilities and developmental delays in a general education classroom. Introduction to current laws and the responsibility of early childhood educators and service providers in upholding the civil rights of children with disabilities. Introductory knowledge about disability as a social, cultural, and historical construct utilizing anti-racist and critical disability lens.
Prerequisite(s): C or better in ECS 1000 and ECS 1100 . Grading Basis: Graded Only Repeat for Credit: May be taken only once When Offered: Fall, Spring Course Category: Major Required Course
